Het is een structureel isomeer van de bekendere 3-MMC en 4-MMC. Het wordt voornamelijk verkocht als researchchemicalie in kristal- of chipvorm. <strong>Niet goedgekeurd voor medisch gebruik of consumptie door mensen.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Farmacologie<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">2-MMC fungeert als een <strong>monoamine-vrijmakend middel en heropnameremmer<\/strong>Het heeft voornamelijk invloed op dopamine en noradrenaline, met mildere effecten op serotonine. Hierdoor heeft het een meer stimulerend profiel vergeleken met 4-MMC (mephedrone), dat een sterkere serotonerge werking heeft.<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li><strong>Aanvang (oraal)<\/strong>: 15\u201345 minuten<\/li>\n<li><strong>Piek<\/strong>: 1\u20132,5 uur<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duur<\/strong>: 3-6 uur (met mogelijke nawerkingen)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Het is chemisch verwant aan andere cathinonen zoals mephedrone en produceert stimulerende en licht empathogene effecten.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Acute veiligheidsprofiel<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Er is <strong>zeer beperkte gegevens over de veiligheid van mensen<\/strong> over 2-MMC. De meeste informatie is afkomstig van gebruikersrapporten en basale farmacologische studies naar vergelijkbare cathinonen.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Veelvoorkomende gemelde effecten<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>Verhoogde energie en stimulatie<\/li>\n<li>Euforie en stemmingsverbetering<\/li>\n<li>Verbeterde concentratie en sociale vaardigheden<\/li>\n<li>Het klemmen van de kaken, een verhoogde hartslag en zweten.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Mogelijke bijwerkingen<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>Angst, onrust, paranoia (vooral bij hogere doses)<\/li>\n<li>Slapeloosheid en verminderde eetlust<\/li>\n<li>Verhoogde hartslag en bloeddruk<\/li>\n<li>Misselijkheid, hoofdpijn, spierspanning<\/li>\n<li>Vasoconstrictie (koude handen\/voeten)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Toxiciteit en risico's<\/h3>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li><strong>Cardiovasculaire belasting<\/strong>Net als andere cathinonen kan 2-MMC de hartslag en bloeddruk aanzienlijk verhogen, wat risico's met zich meebrengt voor mensen met hoge bloeddruk of hartaandoeningen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Neurotoxiciteit<\/strong>: Vermoedelijk potentieel risico op schade aan dopamine en serotonine bij intensief of frequent gebruik (gebaseerd op klasse-effecten).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oververhitting en uitdroging<\/strong>: Komt vaak voor bij stimulerende cathinonen, vooral in warme omgevingen of bij lichamelijke activiteit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dwangmatig herhaaldelijk innemen<\/strong>Gebruikers melden vaak sterke hunkering, wat het risico op overdosering of bingegebruik vergroot.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Onbekende langetermijneffecten<\/strong>Er bestaan \u200b\u200bvrijwel geen klinische studies specifiek naar 2-MMC. De veiligheid op lange termijn is grotendeels onbekend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Dosiscontext<\/strong>Kristalchips worden vaak oraal toegediend in doses van 20 tot 100 mg of meer, waarbij 50 tot 80 mg een veelvoorkomend gerapporteerd bereik is. Hogere doses verhogen de risico's aanzienlijk.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Geneesmiddelinteracties en contra-indicaties<\/h3>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>Hoog risico bij gelijktijdig gebruik met andere stimulerende middelen, MDMA, alcohol of MAO-remmers.<\/li>\n<li>Sterk afgeraden voor personen met hart- en vaatziekten, angststoornissen, psychische aandoeningen of een voorgeschiedenis van misbruik van stimulerende middelen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Juridische status (vanaf 2026)<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">2-MMC is in veel landen, waaronder een groot deel van Europa, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en andere landen, gereguleerd of verboden. Het kan onder vergelijkbare wetgeving vallen in rechtsgebieden zoals de Verenigde Staten.
