Het is een positioneel isomeer van 3-MMC en 4-MMC (mephedrone). Het wordt voornamelijk verkocht als research chemical in kristalvorm. <strong>Niet goedgekeurd voor medisch gebruik, consumptie door mensen of therapeutisch gebruik.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Farmacologie<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">2-MMC functioneert hoofdzakelijk als een <strong>dopamine- en noradrenaline-heropnameremmer en -vrijmakingsmiddel<\/strong>Het heeft een relatief zwakkere invloed op serotonine vergeleken met 4-MMC. Hierdoor heeft het een meer klassiek stimulerend profiel, gericht op energie, concentratie en euforie, in plaats van sterke empathogene effecten.<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li><strong>Aanvang (oraal)<\/strong>: 15\u201345 minuten<\/li>\n<li><strong>Piek<\/strong>: 1-3 uur<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duur<\/strong>: 3-6 uur (nawerkingen kunnen langer aanhouden)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Kristalbrokken worden doorgaans voor gebruik verkleind of fijngemaakt. De dosering is zeer variabel vanwege het gebrek aan regelgeving.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Acute veiligheidsprofiel<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Veiligheidsgegevens voor de mens met betrekking tot 2-MMC zijn <strong>extreem beperkt<\/strong>De meeste informatie is afkomstig van gebruikersrapporten, eenvoudige in vitro-onderzoeken en extrapolatie van vergelijkbare cathinonen.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Veelvoorkomende gemelde effecten<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>Stimulatie en verhoogde energie<\/li>\n<li>Euforie en een verbeterde stemming<\/li>\n<li>Verbeterde concentratie en sociale vaardigheden<\/li>\n<li>Verhoogde hartslag, zweten en kaakspanning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Mogelijke bijwerkingen<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>Angst, rusteloosheid, paranoia of agitatie (vooral bij hogere doses)<\/li>\n<li>Slapeloosheid en verminderde eetlust<\/li>\n<li>Verhoogde bloeddruk en hartslag<\/li>\n<li>Misselijkheid, hoofdpijn, spierspanning en vaatvernauwing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Toxiciteit en risico's<\/h3>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li><strong>Hart-en vaatstelsel<\/strong>: Aanzienlijk risico op verhoogde hartslag, hoge bloeddruk en mogelijke belasting van het hart. Gevaarlijk voor mensen met reeds bestaande hart- en vaatziekten.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Neurotoxiciteit<\/strong>Er bestaat een vermoeden van schade aan de dopaminerge functie bij intensief of herhaald gebruik, hoewel direct bewijs voor 2-MMC schaars is.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Oververhitting \/ Uitdroging<\/strong>: Komt vaak voor bij cathinonen, met name in warme omgevingen of tijdens lichamelijke activiteit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dwangmatig herhaaldelijk innemen<\/strong>Een sterke drang om opnieuw een dosis in te nemen wordt vaak gemeld, waardoor het risico op een overdosis toeneemt.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Onbekende langetermijneffecten<\/strong>Er bestaan \u200b\u200bvrijwel geen klinische studies. De langetermijneffecten op de hersenchemie, het hart, de nieren of de lever zijn grotendeels onbekend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Dosiscontext<\/strong>De gerapporteerde orale doses vari\u00ebren vaak van 30 tot 120 mg of meer, waarbij veel gebruikers 50 tot 80 mg als een gangbare, sterke dosis beschrijven. Kristalfragmenten kunnen leiden tot inconsistente doseringen vanwege de variabele kristalgrootte en zuiverheid.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Geneesmiddelinteracties en contra-indicaties<\/h3>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>Hoog risico bij gelijktijdig gebruik met andere stimulerende middelen, alcohol, MDMA of MAO-remmers.<\/li>\n<li>Sterk afgeraden voor personen met hartaandoeningen, hoge bloeddruk, angststoornissen, psychische problemen of een voorgeschiedenis van misbruik van stimulerende middelen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Juridische status (vanaf 2026)<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">2-MMC is in veel landen (waaronder een groot deel van Europa) gereguleerd of verboden. Het kan in landen zoals de Verenigde Staten onder analoge wetgeving vallen.
