Het wordt voornamelijk verkocht als research chemical \/ nieuwe psychoactieve stof (NPS) en is <strong>niet goedgekeurd voor medisch gebruik<\/strong> in elk belangrijk land. A <strong>Dosis van 5 mg<\/strong> wordt beschouwd als een sterke\/gangbare dosis voor recreatief gebruik of als angstremmer.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Farmacologie<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Norflurazepam werkt als een niet-selectieve positieve allosterische modulator van de <strong>GABA-A-receptor<\/strong>met angstremmende, kalmerende, slaapverwekkende, spierontspannende en anticonvulsieve effecten.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Belangrijkste kenmerken<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li><strong>Halveringstijd<\/strong>: Extreem lang \u2014 <strong>47 tot meer dan 150 uur<\/strong> (gemiddeld zo'n 70-100 uur)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aanvang (oraal)<\/strong>: 30\u201390 minuten<\/li>\n<li><strong>Duur<\/strong>: Zeer langdurig vanwege langzame eliminatie \u2014 de effecten en nawerkingen kunnen meerdere dagen aanhouden<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Deze lange halfwaardetijd leidt tot een aanzienlijke ophoping van het geneesmiddel bij herhaalde toediening.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Effecten bij 5 mg<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Bij een dosering van 5 mg melden gebruikers doorgaans het volgende:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>Sterke angstvermindering<\/li>\n<li>Sterke sedatie en slaperigheid<\/li>\n<li>Spierontspanning<\/li>\n<li>Milde tot matige amnesie<\/li>\n<li>Gevoelens van kalmte en ontspanning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Vanwege de lange werkingsduur kunnen de kalmerende en cognitieve effecten tot ver in de volgende dag of zelfs langer aanhouden.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Veiligheidsrisico's<\/h3>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li><strong>Accumulatie<\/strong>Herhaald dagelijks gebruik van 5 mg kan ertoe leiden dat het geneesmiddel zich in het lichaam ophoopt, wat overmatige sedatie, cognitieve stoornissen en een verhoogd risico op een overdosis tot gevolg kan hebben.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ademhalingsdepressie<\/strong>Het risico is verhoogd in combinatie met alcohol, opio\u00efden of andere middelen die het centrale zenuwstelsel onderdrukken \u2013 potentieel levensbedreigend.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Afhankelijkheid en ontwenning<\/strong>: Hoog risico op lichamelijke afhankelijkheid. Ontwenningsverschijnselen kunnen langdurig en ernstig zijn vanwege de lange halfwaardetijd.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cognitieve stoornis<\/strong>Aanzienlijke sufheid de volgende dag, geheugenproblemen en verminderde co\u00f6rdinatie.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Andere risico's<\/strong>: Verhoogd risico op vallen (vooral bij ouderen), duizeligheid en mogelijke terugval in angstgevoelens\/slapeloosheid na het stoppen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Geneesmiddelinteracties en contra-indicaties<\/h3>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li><strong>Gevaarlijke combinaties<\/strong>Alcohol, opio\u00efden, andere benzodiazepinen, gabapentino\u00efden of kalmerende middelen zijn niet toegestaan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contra-indicatie<\/strong> bij personen met aandoeningen aan de luchtwegen, leverfunctiestoornissen, een voorgeschiedenis van drugsverslaving, depressie\/zelfmoordgedachten, of personen die voertuigen\/machines besturen.<\/li>\n<li>Niet aanbevolen tijdens zwangerschap of borstvoeding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\">Juridische status (vanaf 2026)<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Norflurazepam is in veel landen gereguleerd of verboden, waaronder het Verenigd Koninkrijk (Psychoactive Substances Act), Duitsland, Canada en andere landen.
