Produkt Beschreibung

5-MAPB Capsules 100mg

5-MAPB Capsules 100mg (5-(2-methylaminopropyl)benzofuran) is a synthetic entactogen and stimulant of the benzofuran class. It is not approved for any medical use and is classified as a novel psychoactive substance (NPS). A 100mg capsule is generally considered a strong to very strong dose (typical reported oral doses range from 60–100mg for strong effects, with many sources suggesting caution above 80mg).

Pharmakologie

5-MAPB acts as a serotonin–norepinephrine–dopamine releasing agent (SNDRA). It potently releases serotonin (EC50 ~64 nM), norepinephrine (~24 nM), and dopamine (~41 nM). It also functions as a partial agonist at 5-HT2A, 5-HT2B, and 5-HT2C receptors and a potent agonist at 5-HT1B. This produces MDMA-like entactogenic effects (euphoria, empathy, sociability) with stimulant properties.

  • Wirkungseintritt (oral)30–90 Minuten
  • Gipfel2–4 Stunden
  • Dauer: 6–12 hours (longer than MDMA, with possible after-effects)

Akute Sicherheitsprofil

  • Herz-Kreislauf: Increased heart rate, blood pressure, vasoconstriction, and potential for chest pain or palpitations.
  • Neurological/Psychiatric: Euphoria, enhanced sensory perception, empathy, but also anxiety, agitation, paranoia, hallucinations, tremor, hyperreflexia, and clonus at higher doses.
  • Andere: Hyperthermia, sweating, bruxism (jaw clenching), nausea, dry mouth, and muscle tension.

100mg significantly raises the risk of intense effects and adverse reactions, including serotonin syndrome-like symptoms or cardiovascular strain.

Toxicity & Reported Harms

  • Neurotoxizität: Animal studies show dose-dependent serotonergic neurotoxicity (long-lasting 5-HT depletion) similar to MDMA, and possible dopaminergic neurotoxicity. It does not produce the α-methyldopamine metabolite linked to some MDMA toxicity.
  • Hepatotoxicity & Cardiotoxicity: In vitro data indicate liver cell toxicity. Strong 5-HT2B agonism raises concerns for potential heart valve damage with repeated use.
  • Fatalities: Linked to fatal intoxications, often in combination with other substances (e.g., AMT, benzodiazepines). Animal studies suggest higher lethal risk than MDMA at equivalent doses.
  • Acute Case Reports: Symptoms include hypertension, tachycardia, hyperthermia, agitation, convulsions, and elevated troponin/CK levels.

Wechselwirkungen und Gegenanzeigen

  • Hohes Risiko: Other serotonergic drugs (MDMA, SSRIs, MAOIs) — increased chance of serotonin syndrome.
  • Vorsicht: Stimulants, alcohol, or cannabis (unpredictable intensification).
  • Strongly contraindicated for individuals with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, liver issues, anxiety/psychosis history, or during pregnancy/breastfeeding.

Product-Related Risks

Unregulated capsules often have inconsistent dosing, purity issues, or unknown contaminants. Effects can vary widely between batches.

Rechtsstatus (Stand 2026)

5-MAPB is controlled in many countries (e.g., UK Class B, Canada Schedule I, Germany, Australia, China). It is banned or heavily restricted in most jurisdictions.

Wichtiger Hinweis: This is a neutral, educational overview based on scientific literature, case reports, and toxicology data. There are very limited clinical safety studies on 5-MAPB in humans, and significant uncertainties remain regarding both short- and long-term risks. This information does nicht encourage use. 5-MAPB carries real potential for acute toxicity, cardiovascular harm, neurotoxicity, and dependence. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for any health concerns and comply with all local laws.
